Dr. Nolan P. Fahrenkopf is a CPR Fellow who conducts research and policy outreach on topics related to emerging technologies, research security, know your customer and collaborator programs, and illicit proliferation tactics.
Dr. Fahrenkopf has worked extensively to train a wide variety of partner officials, such as intelligence officers, customs and licensing officers, scientific officials, industry representatives, and research professionals and staff through red teaming exercises on illicit proliferation tactics and best practice implementation.
Much of his research has focused on the role that scientific and technical knowledge and technology play in weapons production and how illicit proliferators acquire proliferation sensitive technology from a variety of sources.
His work in this field has allowed him to lead seminars and conduct consultations with governments in Indonesia, the Philippines, Mongolia, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka, Serbia, Georgia, and other countries.
