Jay P. Nash, Esq. is a senior fellow and project manager with the Center for Policy Research at the University at Albany, SUNY.
Through the University at Albany, SUNY, Jay works with governments and business communities around the globe to help strengthen international, regional, and national strategic trade management (STM).
He is also the founder and principal of Nash Global Trade Services (NGTS), an STM consulting firm that works with government and business partners in a variety of STM-related areas.
He has also served as a project manager and/or subject matter expert on numerous U.S. State Department Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) Program and U.S. Department of Energy International Nonproliferation Export Control Program (INECP) projects with partners in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Latin America, and Europe since 2005.
He has been a frequent speaker/moderator at government-organized STM conferences, including the annual Asia Export Control Seminar (AECS) hosted by the Government of Japan and previous “Export Control Summits” in Southeast Asia.
Jay P. Nash is also on the editorial board of the World Export Control Review, where has served as an editor and contributor to the Asia Pacific Strategic Trade Controls.
Nash also has served as a guest instructor for the Export Compliance Training Institute (ECTI).
Nash holds degrees from the University of Iowa College of Law, the Georgetown School of Foreign Service, and the University of Michigan. He has traveled to and worked in over 40 countries and has lived and worked in Beijing, China. He is proficient in spoken Mandarin.
